hellooooo

If you can ignore the doofy smile on my face...

If you can ignore Livia's swollen eyes (she just woke up)...

If you can ignore the sun blasting through the window, causing a very unsightly lighting situation on the carpet...

If you can ignore the fact that it appears I'm not wearing shorts...
(i'm totally wearing shorts)

You will see that I am holding something.

What is it, you wonder?

I'm so glad you asked.

It's my new Canon RC-6 Remote Controller. I picked up this little nugget for only $30, and I'm so glad I did. I am in hardly any pictures with my kids, and I know I'll be very sad about that one day. You just aim it toward your camera and click! You can also set it on a timer, so you can hide the remote before it takes the picture.

This will help me capture the little moments during the day with my kids.

And here's a frame of reference, so you can see how tiny it is.

Let the self-portraits begin!
No, just kidding. Don't be scared.

I just had to comment back.. 36??? are you kidding me, you look 23.. I am 44 and 1/2 ( my kids remind me of that) and a couple of years ago i ruptured all the discs in my lumbar region.. THe pain shows on my face more and more each day.. teenage beauty queen to mean old loking witch... in a few short years.. Beauty is fleeting but my heart is still pretty...

I am so happy to see you in the photo my friend! What a great picture and congratulations on getting your wish. :) Now you can be in the super shots you take. I have mastered the art of self timer and also holding out the camera as far as my arm can go and taking the picture myself. I like the challenge. Most of the pictures with me in it are taken that way. Ha! That is why I have an egg head often. Have a great day!

That is so cool!

You're right. I'll probably regret the fact that there's no pics of me with my kids someday. Sigh. Although, I've been in a few this year. ;)

Great pictures...and I can definitely tell you are wearing shorts, just tinnie tiny shorts. ;).

YUP - I am totally ignoring all the stuff and focusing on what a cute photo that is! And how I am so jealous of your new gizmo. Sounds like it could be dangerous if it fell in the wrong hands..... (MINE! HA)

Hooray for you and your remote! Bout time we all get in the pictures, although as I say that, my hair is a mess and I have not a stitch of make-up on. Hmmm. Let me rethink this...

You are so right about not being in any pictures! My poor kids are going to look back and not even know what I looked like. Great gadget!

Hi, Karli. Excuse me for changing the subject...I, too, blog on Blogger. I am hoping to host a Blogger birthday party on August 31st (if there is enough interest). Would you like to join forces? Go to meetup.com/BloggerFiesta and click on Lincoln. Thanks!

First of all, Great intro, it totally made me laugh. I would love a remote controller because I have virtually zero pictures with me included. Well, except for those "great" shots my husbands snaps in which I look as if I have four chins!

Great shot! I've been considering one of those, but I was afraid I'd get too frustrated trying to point it right at the camera. Does it have to be exact? It seems I end up throwing the dvd remote at least a couple times a month because it has to be at the exact right angle to work.

Your children will likely appreciate that little gadget someday even more than you do now!
