day 289: take 1

I loooooove when people ask me if every picture I take turns out - HA! Not only do many pictures not turn out, once in a while I will have an entire photo shoot not turn out.

Case in point:

Photobucket

My mom was called to assist, and what a wild chase through the park we were taken on by the Tiny Tornado. There was fleeing. There was whirling. There was ignoring. There was leaf tasting. There was stick-wielding.

And on our part, there was bribery. There was singing. There was nursery rhyme chanting. There was begging.

But no. It was not to be. The backgroud was beautiful. The leaves falling, literally, as I took the pictures. The lighting was glorious. The morning magical.

But no amount of magic was sufficient to tame the Tiny Tornado, whirling down the paths.

Next time, sweet little tornado. We'll be ready for you. :-)

gosh, that is a pretty background! That's one cute tiny tornado you got there! :0) I'm trying to picture what it must have been like to be a stranger standing in the distance hilarious enjoying watching two grown women chase around tiny tornado for a picture! HAHA! Hilarious!

Wow, bribery didn't even work, huh? It does look like a perfect location.

Jhen, you would not have been laughing at all, if you had been able to see us running around in circles!! I am sure you would have tried your best to help us out. That little girl sure did give us a work out!!! She totally won that match!!!!

hahaha that's so cute. That's still a gorgeous picture! I love that you call her tiny tornado. :) Thanks for the giggle!

What a beautiful setting! Somehow, even your tiny tornado running away from you is cute in a photograph! He he!

Even though all you got was the Little Tornado's back as she is running away, this is such a beautiful shot. I love the background and mostly, I love that you caught her in mid-step and you got the sole of her shoe with its "flower" tread. Somehow that just makes this photo PERFECT! =)

This is a failed shoot? I love this picture!

Sounds like this captures her - on the move. The new lens is no match for your tiny tornado. She still holds the power. :-)

I feel your frustration! My young men will never "pose" for me, despite the bribery involved. They've just had it with having their pictures taken. Period. I've come to love the shots of them not looking at me or completely ignoring me. Your shot is actually very precious!

do you curl her hair or is that natural? She is beautiful Karli. :) Love the pic. :)

I happen to think this is a great photo! You're right, the background and the lighting are fantastic. And, you will always have the memories of this shoot - the easy ones are easily forgotten.

WEll once again it is till a beauty of a pic.. even if it was not what you wanted as a photo session. I have spent the day with a family of 4 including a 3 year old and a 6 year old.. then I moved to a family of 13, ranging from 6 to hmmm grandma of the brood and now I am off to a freshman in high school girl... it has been a long day and I still have to edit....I guessing that a lot of pics go to the recycle bin tonight!

I don't think it's a fail. The little curl in her hair, the flower tread on her sandal, the path snaking off in the distance... I like it. :)

I know the feeling, Nic will not look at the camera. You could have said this shot was on purpose and no one would have noticed ;)

But Karli it DID turn out; that photo sums up the whole shoot! Nope. Not this time mommy!

(what a darling outfit!)

oh my gees that is how I felt yesterday during one of my paid photo shoots and I am praying I got some good shots. I'm to afraid to upload them. plus the week before my little man didn't want to have anything to do with me and all I wanted was some good fall shots. ugh.... but karli you still make it work every time! great shot!
