This is supposed to be a blog-free day, but while the baby is napping and the boys are having their dsi time, I figured I'd run my photos through the program. This is what it came up with.
If you think it looks a little fakey, it's supposed to. This generated image is what my eye saw while I was taking the picture, but the camera doesn't see it that way.
Anyway, I'll spare you any further attempts with my poor little schoolhouse, and will just leave HDR to the professionals! :-) Happy Thursday!

I actually like it very much.. although yesterdays shot was my favorite.. but what the heck do I know.. I take some strange pictures all the time.. some people like them and some don't. This is not strange it is pleasantly calming to me..and after morning of 75 first graders I need calm...now off to a school full of harvest party celebrants.. ooo my head
I like it! I'm going to check out that program. :)
I'd forgotten all about this software! A year ago I was ob.sessed with it.
Your schoolhouse photo is awesome; in ALL its incarnations.
Talk to you Monday! :)

I think it's awesome to keep trying. How else are you going to get better?? Keep doing it!!! I'm going to look at that free software. Thanks for sharing!
The way the grass pops in this edit is awesome! I'm going to be downloading this program & trying it out ASAP! ;)
I just wanted to also say that your comments this morning literally made me blush & have completely made my day wonderful!!!! Thank you dear blog friend!!!!! xo
I really liked your original image but I do love this and I'm off to check out that program.
AS you already may know...I'm a huge fan of mommy bloggers taking breaks and I never expect comments. We all need breaks from time to time and being a blogger is a big job. Nice to take a vacay from time to time! HOpe it's been wonderful. Love all the different edits of this picture. I think every edit evokes a different feeling!
I liked your original image too. Although, this one feels a bit warmer maybe. Great work :D
Very cool. I am going to get that program now. :) My boys are napping right now, so trying to catch up on blogs. I have enjoyed my day away from the computer. Thanks for the inspiration!
I've done some reading up on the whole HDR faking it business and I think you have to have 3 exposures to get the right look. 1 under, 1 over, 1 regular. I could be wrong :) This guy is AMAZING at it. http://timmsuess.com/chernobyl-journal/
