My photo represents Jesus standing at the door of our hearts and knocking; desiring to have a personal relationship with us. The locked door represents many wasted years of my life, refusing to change, refusing to let Him in. I'm so grateful for his mercy and patience with me.

For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
Amen. I'll second the thankfulness for His mercy and patience.

Karli!!! Amazing job!!! You captured SO MUCH symbolism in this one shot...and I love that you explained what it means to you.
...I'm sure your mom's extra proud of you this week! ;)

LOve this post--everything about it. Just stumbled upon your blog--love your photography! I'm a follower now :)
Thanks for sharing this from your heart! Love it!
I love this! I feel that way too sometimes, having converted as an adult.
I seriously love this - it really speaks to me. The photograph for me is really interesting because the door doesn't appear to be inviting...it's almost like the darkness of our lives spills out so that everything looks dark, and yet, there is Jesus saying come to me. What I think I failed to realize for so long is that the other side is so awesome, ya just gotta accept the invitation. :)
I loved this!!!! The symbolism and the message is not only inspiring but also sheds a new light to this scripture by giving others a visual.
What a neat photo and scripture. Love it.
Love it...great scripture and snapshot!!! God Bless, ~Diana
Great blog. Really like your photos. I have a blog (Family Fountain) with articles on family issues: marriage, parenting, healthy attitudes, spirituality, etc. I try to look for pictures to post to illustrate lessons I'm writing about. Do you allow pictures to be used if they link back to your blog with the credit? If you'd like, please visit the blog to see what you think.
Either way, great photos; great blog. Enjoyed the visit.
