nice to meet ya

OK, I hope this post doesn't seem weird to you. It feels a little strange for me to be in front of the camera instead of hiding behind it. That's where I much prefer to be. :-) There are a number of reasons I decided to post these pictures:

It's my birthday this week, and the last pictures I had taken of myself were when I was in college. Time for some updates, right?

Another reason...there are probably 2 or 3 pictures of me on my entire blog.

I like to know what my blog friends look like, don't you? I feel like I "know" them better when I can see a picture of them.

My husband has recently become my photography buddy, and he wanted a chance to photograph someone that didn't try to run away. (ie: an adult)

I know it would make much more sense to post some pictures of myself with my kids, but that's just an added level of difficulty.

So without further ado (adieu?), let's hear it for Doron! This is only his second time on a photography expedition, and I think he did amazing.

Doron says to tell you he realizes I'm on the wrong side of the frame - LOL!

You might have already seen this one yesterday. I love the tones in this picture.

I had to include this one even though there is an unsightly sunflare covering most of my face - ugh! I thought Doron's composition was great, and just wanted to share. I really wish this one had turned out.

I know I have a funny expression here, but I had thrown these yellow leaves in the air no less than 40 times, so I'm posting one just because.
(Be glad I didn't post the one of me jumping in the air like a 16 year old. I almost broke a hip).
Photobucket

Another headless shot; I can't mess that up! :-)
Photobucket

So there ya go. A little glimpse of me. But more importantly, let's hear it for my husband. He's got some serious raw talent and I can't wait to see what he can do in the future.

WOW - 1. you are beautiful. 2. Doron is amazing (you already know you're amazing) and 3. part of the rules, is to break them...that one photo where he says you were in the wrong side of the frame...I think it works that way! Great job Doron and it's about time you post pictures of yourself friend.

A.MA.ZING!!! You are beautiful and so are these pictures! I love that we got a little more of a glimpse into getting to know you by seeing your face {and you are one gorgeous mommy}. So not only is Doron lucky for being an amazing photographer himself, he got himself one stunning wife!

So so much fun to see what people look like that we chat with every day - you are beautiful!!! I am getting some pic's taken to put on the new website in a few weeks [Ones that I want to use for my Button} and would you believe I am nervous - I don't like being on the "other" side - I much rather be the one taking the photos -
that and the fact that I usually hate pic's of myself - but Doron did great and you look great!!!

How sweet of your husband! I think these are beautiful! I don't have one picture of me on my blog and I've been thinking about putting one up. I think people will be surprised, because I don't fit my name (Big Fat Mama) at all! :)
Thanks for sharing these!

Happy Happy Birthday!! Your hubby did a GREAT job photographing you - though he has tons of raw talent, he had a gorgeous subject to practice with. I love the pic of you sitting under the tree; it's such a beautiful composition. It makes me wonder what you were thinking about. And I love the one of you standing next to the tree, because it's one where you can see your face best. It's wonderful!

Holy crap, girl! You are one hot mama! ha ha You shouldn't be afraid to be in front of the camera that's for sure-I had to totally laugh at your comment on my blog the other day, that was so sweet of you to keep trying and then still let me know, you rock :) I'm bummed about the sweater, isn't that always the way and I'm thinkin' you should totally take me shopping, I' loving all your outfits, :) Your husband did fab and I too struggle with family shots, it's hard to have everyone on board with your "posing" but I've been getting better. Your work is amazing and I always die over your processing, you'll have to share if there's any certain actions that are your favorite, you definately have a way with gorgeous tones. Wow, you think you ramble, sheesh! Thanks again, you are always so sweet :)

Fantastic!! You are such a beautiful lady, and your husband did a great job capturing you!

Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous!! And, I agree with the previous post (Jenny) - you have a way with gorgeous tones.

No, not weird at all! I love having my photo taken, even though nobody does it but myself, and then it's glaringly obvious that I did that and then it looks like I don't have any friends. Ahem. Anyways, where did you get that sweater? I must know!!!

britni said...

Heh. I just realized that you are wearing several sweaters in this series. The blue striped one was so fab that it overshadows every other sweater in my mind. So, the blue striped one. Where can I get my hands on one?

Courtney said...

OKAY, could you possibly be anymore B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L?!?!? I loved looking at every single shot & I agree w/ the previous comments...your husband rocks & I think it's awesome that you guys share a hobby! Happy Birthday week my fellow scorpio, as my birthday was last week. :D
