10 on tuesday

1. Every morning on our way to school as we round a particular corner, wailing from the backseat ensues: "Sun! Eyes! SUN BE EYES!!" This is followed by the frantic unbuckling of seatbelts to help their baby sister stop the shrieking. And so help the person that does not contort their body every which way to block the sun.


Two hours later and I have the perfect solution.




2. I like how my 9 year old calls his sister little kitten.

3. I dislike how he calls his brother Pampers.

4. Livia eats toast with a fork.






Wait... what?


You don't?




In unrelated news, my baby has seemingly inherited my super gigantically large clown feet, so we might be on our last round of footie pajamas. {sniff}

We waited two years for this precious baby. I could watch her eat toast all day.


5. Most embarassing moment of the week: I took the boys to Lost in Fun, a local indoor playground. I look around to see a row of moms, all reading books. Super. I brought a book too. I pull up a bench near the other moms and crack open my book. As I lay my "bookmark" on the bench beside me, I am horrified to see it is actually one white square of .... how shall I say.... toliet tissue. Yeah, it's pretty hard to recover from that one.

6. Major bummer when your husband forgets to drain the underground sprinkler system for the winter. Fact: undrained pipes do indeed freeze and burst.

7. I feel grumpy when my yard looks like this:


8. How weird is it that I'm allergic to avocados? My lips swell up to a cosmetic procedure-like size. If you ask me if I find the look flattering, I will neither confirm nor deny. (OK fine, I confirm).

9. My kitchen: 9:00am
(Good heavens, no, we did not pick out that light fixture).



My kitchen: 3:00pm


10. From the other room I hear the following:
Livia: "Wheeeee!"
(Drew and Livia giggling)
Livia: "Wheeeee!"
(Drew and Livia giggling)
Livia: "WHEEEEEE!"
*thud*
**shriek!!!**
Drew (whispering): "Sorry I forgot to catch you Livia."
