project 365: day 1, 2 & 3

In order to keep on track with posting less in 2011 (but still keep up on my Project 365), I'm going to combine a few days of photos in one post. Sound good? :-) I was sick over Christmas and didn't get all the Christmasy shots I wanted. I promise, this will be it! ;-)

Day 1: putting them away

Photobucket

I commented on my friend Jill's cute buckets that she photographed awhile back, and would you know it...she sent me a couple in the mail! Do I have the sweetest friends, or what?? Thanks so much Jill, I love them! :-)

Did you hear about my Christmas tree/decoration woes this year? I'm totally changing up my style for next year, so these ornaments are from Collin's little tree in his room.

Day 2: wonder when these will be leaving us

Photobucket

Let's see if my husband reads my blog. *wink wink* I always give him a hard time about how long our outside lights stay up (although it really is too cold to take them down), so I snapped a quick shot to document that it is January 2nd, and there are no signs that the lights will be leaving anytime soon.

Day 3: the final Christmas shot

Photobucket

OK, really...I promise! No more holiday shots. I had some white lights laying on the floor (that I was putting away), pulled out a stray candy cane, and voila! Got my candy cane shot.

There were so many beautiful Christmas shots that inspired me this year (many from you guys!) and I feel like I didn't get all I wanted to. Next year, beware! ;-) Have a great week everyone! ♥

Are you feeling better? Your shots don't look like you're sick...and don't you just love Jill? She's a sweetheart. What else was I going to say? Oh yeah - I still have my decorations up and will until next weekend. Is that bad?

Ooh I love the second one! I'll be honest, I got a little burnt out on Christmas pics so just having a few really great ones like you got seems perfect!

LOVE the candy cane! I have been wanting to do something with a candy-cane but could not figure out what :( My decorations are still up too.. I don't want to take them down. My 6 year old said she wished we could keep them up until next Christmas.. HA! :)

These are lovely and I'm quite glad that your hubby left those lights on that tree as I just love that shot the best.

I've started 365 aswell but only posting them once a week.

I love that middle shot - just gorgeous. I took down the decorations yesterday, the house looks so drab now.

Love the balls in the bucket - GREAT IDEA!

And you know I adore you too! :-)

For someone who didn't feel very well you did a beautiful job with your final shots!!!!

Now about the lights - not sure when I will take down our tree since it is our first year with one - but I am done taking photos of it. Maybe next week...is that too long?

Hugs and much love!

Your shots are great... makes me miss Christmas already! Hope you're feeling better... Our Christmas decorations are almost put away. We just have the nativity scene up until the Epiphany.

That middle shot is so cool! :D Most of our decorations are down and put away.

We had the stomach bug here over Christmas, too. Not very nice.

I stumbled upon your blog after googleing "Project 365". I am tackling it this year to force myself to "practice". I have tried to find a way to email you but couldn't find one. I am curious which program you used to create your slideshow on your blog header. Also your post reviewing 2010... the blocks of pictures collage. If you had a sec to email me... I'd greatly appreciate it: sancich@ewcsd.org. Thank you. Happy New Year.

You are incredible! These shots are just amazing. Who would have ever thought to use that angle on lights wrapped around a tree? Love it!

Cool, Cool, Cool!!! Love these shots! And woo-hoo! You snuck in your candy cane shot! Awesome! However, I'd have to say that I love the green lights/bokeh/tree the best! It looks so dreamy. And seeing these are so awesomely done and were given in a small dose, feel free to do a few more holiday shots!

I'm back up and doing the 365 - a few days late. I umm'd and ahh'd about whether I should keep going with a rather big hole where December was supposed to be or start again. Decided to begin again. Hope you're feeling better soon.

My husband didn't need any hints - he wanted to take everything down the second the holiday was over - of course, in a very neat and orderly fashion. Great buckets - and the photos are an awesome start to the new year.
