Three years ago when we went all healthy and stuff, certain foods became comida non grata. This week I got a wild hair, so I thought I'd revisit an old favorite: Berry Berry Kix. I ate the whole box (yes, I surely did), and I'm still alive. Cool.
If that dark upper left corner is bothering you (too), that's the way God made the sky on this particular evening. Didn't want you to think I went all crazy with a one-cornered vignette.
This child is amazing. Thoughtful, sweet, helpful without being asked. *sigh*
No seriously, I was standing at the sink, waiting for my grilled cheese sandwich to finish cooking. I grabbed my macro lens and snapped a few shots of water splashing on an upside down bowl. When I noticed the Tiny Tornado standing on the tray of her high chair, I had to wrap things up.
Hover (don't click) your mouse on the water drop picture above, and you will see attempt two that I tried the next day. Better, right? I like the little crown effect. But the first one was my actual picture on day 7, so I'm just keeping it real. ;-) Maybe I'll try it again for another day.
Seriously, go up and hover. The 2nd picture is better.
Are you impressed with how clean my windshield is? Me too. ;-)
We've got a crazily busy weekend ahead, so please accept my apology in advance that I won't be able to do any blog visiting. I promised my family I'd be present. All weekend. ;-) Thank you in advance for your sweet comments! ♥

I love the motion blur train shot. Seriously amazing!
I have so much to say - a whole box of cereal and you LIVED to tell about it! Oy. Your sky shot is lovely even with the one dark corner! And your helpful guy, can he give my guy lessons? PAID lessons??? :D
Oh and I actually like your original splash better, I think it is the bright blue. But, lets face it, they are both so SOOOO cool. I love your Macro work. I will stop rambling now - have a GREAT weekend
I LOVE your water droplets!!! Maybe I should fly out there and you can help me figure that out... The motion blur is pretty cool also!
I feel like I'm repeating myself but....
Love these.
I need a Macro lens. (They are both great but the turquoise blue with the first shot...it was a bowl? Seriously?)
And you still need to tell me how you do that little hover trick.
Do I dare say it?? Inspiring! ;-) Have a great weekend, friend.
Wonderful photos. How do you do the hover photo thing? Have you shared before? I love them all. Have a great weekend.
I tell myself that the reason I can't take shots like that is because I don't have a macro lens, but you even made Kix look cool in a non-macro (I assume?) shot, so I don't think I can comfort myself that way anymore. You're just really, really good. Love all of these, great work! Have a great weekend!
You are so dang creative!! I love ALL of these, especially that last one. Motion blur is awesome. I'm not good at it.
These photos are fantastic!! WOW!!
The water drops are awesome! Love them both.
Lovely images, I don't know what Berry Berry Kix are but the colours are wonderful.
New to your blog. Found you from one of Jill's posts. Your photography is amazing. Love the fact you share your ideas and techniques. I'm loving the bowl of cereal. My wish for Christmas was to get a macro 100mm 2.8 lens. Santa missed that one this year so I'm working on saving up myself. I LOVE all of your up-close-and-personal shots.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Grace
You rock!! so glad you added the shot ( if I hover) to the line up...I thought it rocked!

You're a genius - those last 2 shots especially. The water droplets... "yeah, I was just snapping a few photos." I need a colorful plate or dish or something so I can get cool shots like that! Jealous!
I love your picture, I especially love the motion blur and the water pictures. I attempted the water pictures last night as well.
Feel free to check them out.

You are so good! I LOVE them all :-) Stop by if you get a minute http://flowerphotography1.blogspot.com/
I love the motion blur of the train - it's so neat. Isn't it funny how we can get caught up (even for a minute) and when we turn around, chaos is ensuing in the background? I was photographing some food for an upcoming post (seriously, just for a second) and when I turned around, Georgia had opened the pantry, grabbed her goldfish from the wrong end, and then was eating them off the floor. Sigh, I suppose that's 2 years old for you..
Have a wonderful weekend with the family!
