random kitchen macros!!!

And you have to say that like "Rrrrrr-andom Kitchen MAAAACROS!!!!

I'm feeling a bit wild today.

Nothing to photograph during the blah winter months, you say? Phooey! Look no further than your kitchen.
Color, light, shadows, texture...what's not to love, right?

Other ideas?
Random office supply macros: a stapler, a pile of paperclips, thumb tacks, colored pencils, your computer keyboard, a close-up of the numbers on a ruler...
Random bathroom macros: a makeup brush with powder on the tip, eyeshadow, the tip of your lipstick, the curve of a mascara wand (think abstract here), fingernail polish (maybe spilling out or dripping - more interesting that way)...

You get the idea, right? There's inspiration all around you! :-)
Have a great weekend!
xo

Oh my love! I love all of these photos and the collage. Kitchen gadgets never looked so sexy. ;) You have some great light in your kitchen. Pretty light and shadows. That water shot is amazing! I do hope you do an office series or bathroom series.
You're so creative!

What amazing pictures! I really love the straws & the cheese grater thingy. My husband got me a macro extension kit for my lens... I think I might try it out finally (instead of being scared of it and not using it!) You gave me some great ideas b/c I sure have been feeling "Blah" about being indoors and I am so sick of taking the same photos over & over of indoors and dead trees LOL. So maybe a trip to the kitchen is in order for me! You have inspired me yet once again!!

Hey on another note-
I wanted to let you know I "tagged" You over on my blog - It's a neat topic and idea to have fun with if you feel like it... No worries if you are not into it. Have a great day!!! http://www.juliannabelle.com/2012/03/eleven-once-onze-undici-elva.html

I LOVE it! When I get off work today I am going home and taking photos of random stuff! Mine won't look as good as yours though. Yours are wonderful!

*Very* cool shots! I especially like the water hitting the spoon and the way you used the shadows to create such interesting images. This would be a fun collage to frame and hang in your kitchen.

"Rrrrrr-andom Kitchen MAAAACROS!!!!

did I say it right? ha! Feel like I have some boys in the house who have been watching some wrestling or football or some other "macho" sport! LOL!

You, Karli, are my HERO!!! Oh my WORD!!!!!! Color, light and shadows are PERFECT!!! :-D You have some of the prettiest kitchen stuff, and some of the prettiest light! You have made the "everyday" into art! I'd totally want to print this and hang it in the kitchen! (oh, and don't you *love* cuties??? yummy! ha!)

I've been told "go photograph stuff in the kitchen" and while I do have one photo of mine that I like (clean dishes) that's all I've done -- and this goes to prove that anything is art, if you take the time to see light, color and shadows.

Yep. You are my hero and inspiration. Here's to throwing out the "there's nothing to shoot" excuse and just looking for the light! (although, I will admit with a single tiny window in my kitchen, I do feel a bit -- um, restricted... so my kitchen may need to move to a different room. ha!)

P.S. I fully know that I'm commenting while you're *hopefully* not paying attention to your email -- so whenever you get to this next month, know that you're getting big HUGS today!!!!
