inspire me: the cozy coupe

When I saw these photos on Jessica Deane's blog, I was wow'd. Yep. Loved them all. Loved the composition, loved the processing, loved every bit. She mentioned that it had just rained and her pictures were dark and moody. So I (im)patiently waited for 2 weeks for even so much as a single solitary cloud to take my moody Cozy Coupe pics. Well........ there were no clouds. No clouds in the 10 day forecast either.

So we packed up the Cozy Coupe, the Tiny Tornado and my secret weapon (grandma) and headed out to take our Cozy Coupe pics in spite of the non-cloudy weather.

At first we tried to get pictures of Livia driving the Cozy Coupe along a little path in the a forest area. Cute, but not what I was going for. Jessica got it right on her blog by taking the photos in a patch of clover. (Although she seemed to find an actual patch of clover whereas I found some questionable-looking grass overrun with clover).

There wasn't much time for detail shots or creative composition, as I had all of 15 seconds to get these shots.

Clover patches are not conducive to racing like a banchee.

Grandma and I were informed that she was "stuck" and "weaving."

We were able to find a little patch of shade for the first few shots, but for these the sun was shining like crazy... messing with my moody feel.

So while these pictures didn't match the dark, moody vision in my head, they are our story...... of the Cozy Coupe. ;-)

Happy Monday and thanks for looking! xo

They are YOUR story! And I love that they are your story. They are beautiful. TT is beautiful. Love her little sandals in the first shot. And the one of her leaning her head back in the cozy coupe.
Hey, and if you ever need dark and moody - come to Washington! Come visit me! ;) (OHH we'd have FAR too much fun together!) (And thank you for the new blog to follow. ;) )
Happy Monday, lovely friend.

Well, I love your shots. And I have to laugh thinking how irritated TT was at doing a photo shoot instead of just riding like a wild banchy {that is so spelled wrong..}.

I so miss these times when they just have cuteness overload. We have moved past that now- into the stubborn tween years. :(

I love that you noted that these were your story. I love them all and your comments to go with them. I have taken a million photos of different kids, over the last 12 years, riding in that Cozy Coupe. I think we should put a book together. Wouldn't that be fun? A big coffee table book of people who've submitted their photos of their kids in that dumb plastic thing.
