touch-up Tuesday

Hi! Touch-up Tuesday is here again, and I want to say thank you SO MUCH to those that joined us for the very first week. I was so happy! :-) Also, as I was leaving comments for those who participated last week, I noticed that some of you had beat me to it, and you left the nicest, most thoughtful, lovely comments for each other! So give yourselves a gigantic pat on the back, and know that that's what I wanted this to be all about. ♥♥ Thank you for your kind, encouraging words to each other! ♥♥ Do you feel the love? ;-)

Also, did you read my post about my extreme embarassment over the old button? Yuck! If you grabbed my button last week, would you pretty please copy the new and improved version below? I also changed the url that the button is linked to. With the help of an e-friend, I figured out how to "tag" my posts and have the button link back to the running list of touch-up Tuesday posts. Thank you so much and sorry for any confusion! And the image on the old button? Well, we won't discuss that.

OK, so here we go. Here's my shot straight out of the camera:

Here's version 1:

What I did...
soft light 30%
MCP fingerpaint
levels adjustment
TRA's highlight separator (only on vase)
funfetti color pop action

Version 2:

What I did...
All the same steps above except the funfetti color pop
AMP's beige and vanilla overlays
PW's warmer action

If the pictures are too large and scrolling bothers you, here is the side-by-side:

OK, here's the button with the new image and the new url. Please use this one in your blog post. Thanks!

If you're new to touch-up Tuesday, you can find the instructions in the menu bar on my home page.

Happy Tuesday! :-)

Hmmm... I think I like version 2 better! It's so warm, almost glows.

I take it this is the 'ball' that Livia was tossing around? ;)

Thanks for doing this post. I get really stuck in the "edit room" & these examples really help. I like version 2 ... I am going to have to try the warm action.

Thanks - Robin

Hi Karli!

Yes - you should try the Lightroom trial! :) I just googled "free lightroom trial" and the link was right on top.

It's definitely interesting! Takes some getting used to - especially since I don't have Photoshop. :)

These are SO very cute!! I love how you posted all of your versions. I always have save like a dozen versions before I settle on the one I love.
Can't wait for this to come around next week - I'll be ready for it!
