warning: bragging ahead

OK, this might be another of my famous 'grandparents-only' posts...unless you have time to scroll through an infinite number of soccer pictures.

We had Drew's soccer game at 3:00 on one side of town, and Collin's game at 6:00 on the opposite side of town. That's a lot of soccer.

Photobucket

This was Drew's first real soccer game, and he had a blast! Every time he kicked the ball, he would yell "hi-YA!" Quite loudly, I must say.
Photobucket

See below? He's really yelling it. ;-) If Drew was my first child, I might have been a tad embarrassed. (Is this what children are supposed to do? Is my child weird)? Instead, I found it hysterical.
Photobucket

I'm having a really hard time choosing pictures. A good number of my pictures are of Drew shooting the breeze with anyone and everyone. His teammates, the other team...whomever. His best friend from Lincoln Christian is on his team, and during the game they decided it would be fun to hit each other in the shin guards.

Socializing is much more fun than running in that hot ole' sun.
Photobucket

I think Drew's game was half soccer, half lego battle. This child's imagination goes 24 hours a day.
Photobucket

It just wouldn't be a soccer game without a little demonstration by Senor Handstand.
Photobucket

Livia doesn't sit nicely. Have I mentioned that she doesn't sit at all? Ever? She goes anywhere and does anything she very well pleases.
Photobucket

An hour later and she's had enough.
Photobucket

And now...let the bragging begin. Notice the goalie below in the green shirt. :-)
Photobucket

I've mentioned that I have one of the coolest 2nd graders on the planet, right?
Photobucket

Today was no exception. Collin's teamed got creamed, but the entire quarter that he was goalie, the other team did not score. NOT ONCE.

As I was going through these photos, I zoomed in really close on the parents watching in the distance. The "oohs" and "aahs" on their faces made me such a proud mom!
Photobucket

You know I'm going to show you every shot he blocked, right? ;-)

If looking at 9 million pictures of kids you don't know isn't your thing, stop back tomorrow for a cool touch-up.

Happy Monday...hope it's a great one!

My son, David, is also playing soccer. (He's also in 2nd grade)! ;) He was the goalie for a little bit on Saturday. He had to run up from the goal and kick the ball. ALL eyes were on him...he ran as fast as he could and managed to kick the ball about 2 feet. Guess he takes after me!! ;)
