flashback friday (on tuesday)

My sweet friend Adeena does a little something on her blog called flashback Friday, which I must say is an awesome idea! With all these Branson pictures I've been scouring through, I thought I'd include a picture from my very first trip to my parents' cabin. I made yearly trips to Branson my entire life to visit my grandparents, but my parents built their cabin in 2001.

So here I am with Collin in the summer of 2002. Yes, Collin who will be nine in October. And the cowboy hat it a joke. You knew that right? Just wanted to clarify.

OK, you see where this is going, right?

We tried to re-create the same picture eight years later:

Before you feel great pity for me and think Father Time has been unkind, consider the following:
1. I'm holding 62 pounds and trying to look natural. (Can you hold half your body weight in 90 degrees while trying to look relaxed?)
2. It is 8:30 pm and I had chased 3 kids for the past 12 hours.
3. It was hot.
4. I was exhausted.
5. My makeup slid off my face 4 hours ago, and I think I had partially melted.

It's now 9:30 and I can't think of a way to wrap up this post, so I'm ending here.

I love the idea of flashback Friday, so you might see another one again soon.
Hope you had a great Tuesday! ♥

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a picture of you before...and now that I have, I have an e-crush. JK (kinda). LOL

You look great. My niece probably weighs the same and I can't pick her up without straining. Nonetheless, you guys look great. My husband would likely say something to the effect of...yeah, that's how you'll look one day (he always says that when he sees a hot mom). Makes him proud. :)

Sweet pictures, both of them!

I love the picture of your boys with swords in the header. Such a boy photo.

You have two? I have four sons. Come on over and see me sometime!

That is awesomely hilarious!! XD

I *wish* I looked half as good as you! Seriously! Father Time has been very kind to you. ;) You barely look a day older in 8 years!

And Collin was such an adorable, chunky little man!

You totally should hang them up side by side. Love your Flashback! :D
