touch-up Tuesday

Welcome to touch-up Tuesday! Before we jump in, I think I might have confused you last week with the whole RAW/jpeg thing. When I took the picture of Drew, my camera shot in both RAW and jpeg. At the time I wrote the post, I didn't know how to open the RAW image, so I used the jpeg.

Maybe for an upcoming post, I will take a picture in RAW and show you the screen that pops up when you begin editing in Camera RAW 5.4.

Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, here's my image for this week. This was taken at our county fair. Fun! :-)

The SOOC:

Below is my "clean edit." (Am I coining a phrase here?) :-) This edit doesn't really do much for me, but it's what I used to run all the other artistic actions. If you're new to touch-up Tuesday, I never run artistic actions on my SOOC.
Aly's Basic Boost and MCP's fingerpaint

Totally Rad Actions "pool party":

Isabelle Lafrances' "easygoing vintage":

PW's warmer action and MCP fingerpaint:

PW's sepia and vintage actions: (Now those blurry edges are bothering me - oh well!)
Photobucket

I'm really liking the PW warmer and MCP fingerpaint edit. Do you have a favorite? If you want to turn your (evening) blue sky orange, give the PW's warmer action a try. If you don't have MCP's fingerpaint brush (from the Quickie Collection), try increasing your saturation slider. The result will be very similar. And free! :-)

Hope you'll link up today! I'd love to see your edits! Happy Tuesday! ♥

I'm lovin' the retro feel of your "pool party" version, but really they are all great! Off to post mine. . .

My favourites are "easygoing vintage" - love the colour pop! and "pool party" - it looks so cool and vintage! :D

We missed our local fair - too many birthdays and baseball games! ;) I'll have to try and get to another one so I can get a pic like this. ;)

I like the one with PW's Warmer Action, and your clean edit! The sky looks so fantastic.

You know, I've never actually been on a ferris wheel? One of these days I'll have to go to a carnival so I can ride on one. It's on my bucket list. ;)

These are great Karli! I like the second to last picture. It is funny, I can jump out of a plane for skydiving, but I can't get on a ferris wheel. :) Have a great day!

Love the edit and clean edit. I usually do that after I actually add an action but if I'm doing just a simplier edit I do it before. I love all the photos and results :-)

I love all of these and I think I even like the blurred edges. Now you won't ever be able to show a truly RAW shot...you always have to convert to JPG, but you can leave them nearly untouched. Great work. I'll be back later!

I think Easygoing Vintage is my fave but they're all fun! I've been thinking about going to the county fair just for pics of the ferris wheel!!

Those are some great edits, Karli! I like them all (but I do agree that the blurred edges on that one pictures are a little annoying). If I had to choose a favorite, I'd probably say "PW's warmer action and MCP fingerpaint" is it; it looks cool! :D

Have a great week!

P.S. I am following your blog! ;)

I love Pool Party! I haven't really looked into Totally Rad's actions, only because I find their website a little overwhelming - but I'm going to have to do some more investigating. Great shot!

I love how the warmer/fingerpaint combo brings out the lights on the ferris wheel.

I couldn't do the ferris wheel or the roller coaster! I'll stick with the candy apples and funnel cakes!
