10 on tuesday (only 1 day late!)

Well, the stomach bug finally got us, and I was down for the count over Christmas. As a result, I didn't get a lot of blog-worthy pictures... so let's just think of these as "snapshots," shall we?

1. I love when Doron is home over the holidays. He can work from home anytime, but let's face it... it can be a regular 3-ring circus around here, so he usually goes into the office. On mornings he doesn't make a coffee run, I like to begin my days like this:
Photobucket

OK, I'm totally lying. I hate marshmallows in my hot chocolate, but I was in love with Mandy's picture of hot chocolate with marshmallows so I had to copy her.

2. If only I had thought to create plastic tube-like "beans" with weird faces on them.
Photobucket

And thus the creator of Mighty Beans is a millionaire and I'm not.
Photobucket

(Did we seriously shell out over $100 on bean paraphanelia)?
Photobucket

3. Remember how we've discussed "containment?" And how most of the pictures of the Tiny Tornado involve her being buckled/stuffed in/tied to something? I now present a new restraining device....drum roll please...an L.L. Bean sled! Score!
Photobucket

This picture was taken at my parents' house. Since I was practically curled up in the fetal position due to stomach issues, this is pretty much all I got. 1/3 of my kids looking at me and smiling - cool!

On a more positive note, my battle with lighting at my parents' house is over! This year I used my Speedlite and WON! So there, 9,000 foot ceilings! Bwah ha ha ha!

Please ignore how the sled is aimed directly at the camera - good grief! (I'm calling 'seering stomach pain' as my excuse for this curious angle).
Photobucket

4. Unless you are an immediate family member and have access to our family albums, you will not be able to see any gift-opening pictures from our house Christmas morning. (Tree issues). I have 12 months to transform my current tree decor from Hallmark to Pottery Barn. Stay tuned.

5. My one year blogiversary is coming up in February, and I can't believe the number of amazing e-friends I made in 2010! One of my very very faves sent me this Christmas card. Anyone recognize this cutie?
Photobucket

Yep, the only cat that stands a chance at making me like cats...Kitty Paw!

6. Did you see these cute Coke bottles this year? Love!! Mine has sat on my desk for three weeks and I finally remembered to snap a picture today. Yes Doron, you can drink it now.
Photobucket

7. The dollhouse was a huge hit with the boys Livia.
Photobucket

Photobucket

8. Sometimes the brothers play too.
Photobucket

9. Every Christmas Eve Eve, we make cookies to leave out for Santa. Here's the Tiny Tornado eyeing her cookie warily.
Photobucket

The caption: "You're CRAZY if you think I'm touching that thing!"
Photobucket

Say what you will about the Tornado, but she's a bit of a neat freak. We've discussed how she eats toast with a fork...also sandwiches, grapes, you name it. Does the bottom right picture say it all?
Photobucket

After chasing her cookie around the high chair for 10 minutes, she finally plucked off one tiny sprinkle and ate it. But she wanted that finger washed off pronto.
Photobucket

It's driving me crazy that I didn't have time to edit these pictures of Livia (just a slight curves adjustment).
Maybe just a black & white for the road.
Photobucket

10. Last, but not least...the yearly picture of the kids with Santa. Not sure what's up with the bags under Livia's eyes. Looks like she missed her nap that day and then swiped my grande caramel frappuccino.
Photobucket

Cute, sure. But not nearly as entertaining as last Spring when Livia got into a tussle with the Easter Bunny. Oh yes indeedy she did. I guarantee that Bunny will never work the Westfield Mall again.

So that's a wrap-up of our Christmas. How was yours? Hope you're having a great holiday with family! :-)

I'm so so so behind on blog commenting...I apologize! I'll try to stop by soon and say hi. ♥

Have a great rest of the week!

I love that the boys played with the doll house. We got little Wyatt a "firehouse" its not at allllll a doll house! ha ha. He would always play with my old one at my moms house so when we saw that we were stoked so We had to buy it and it was a wonderful thing! why they didnt make one of these sooner. lol! love the santa pictures and I need to invest into a flash because I failed at getting good pictures at my moms annual santa clause party and I was "made" to take all the santa pictures needless to say no one will be getting any. :(

I completely feel for you and your stomach bug as I sit here sniffing. Sniff Sniff. It is so not cool to blow your nose every other minute. I look like rudolf. Anyways, I always love this post and I love how Kitty Paw is the only card on the shelf...she wouldn't have it any other way. She's a diva like that. Alright, after this backup, I really must go to bed. Goodnight friend.

Okay, I am so sorry you are sick...but I couldn't help laughing hard at the rest of this post. Ken's head in the toilet. Seriously dying over here!!! My kids are starting to get to me if I think that is funny. Oy!

I'm sorry your tummy got in the way of your holiday! I still love the pics. I wish Livia's neat freak factor could rub off on my kids just a bit. Xo

Sorry you've been unwell, but the pictures are great, and your commentary always makes me laugh. My cats forgive you for not liking them :O)))

First - I hope that you are feeling much better!! Second - I am so jealous that these shots are unedited! You are just an amazing photographer!!

I was going to buy one of those cool coke bottles last year, just to photograph it, and forgot. Then was going to do the same thing this year, and ended up doing the exact same thing (forgot!). I'll just enjoy yours :-)

It looks like you all had a great holiday (minus the stomach bug, of course). I know I say this every time, but your children are just adorable! Happy New Year!

Oooh, stomach bugs are the worst! I'm glad you're feeling better. Your photos are awesome; I love that only Collin, the well-behaved oldest, is looking at the camera. It's like a re-do of your Halloween shot. I love the dollhouse for Livia! It's so cute, and I'm sure she (and the boys too!) will have lots of fun playing with it. Happy New Year friend!

Your marshmallow confession cracked me up, and so did the little tornado with her cookie.

1. I'm so very sorry you were sick over Christmas! I hope you are on the mend and able to enjoy this time off with your kids and hubby.
2. What is it with marshmallows in hot chocolate anyway? I don't like them either. What I do like in my hot chocolate? Bailey's.
3. Thankfully my daughter has not grabbed on to the bean fad yet. I'm going to keep them away from her as long as humanly possible.
4. Love the doll house pic with Livia in the window.
5. I'm happy to see that even though "man" doll has his head in the toilet he is happily married.
6. The Santa picture totally cracks me up. All of their expressions....even Santa's...priceless.

Happy New Year!!

Dear Karli,
YOUR PHOTOS ARE SO STINKIN' AWESOME. Plus, I LOVE the way you write. For real. I dunno if you've ever gotten compliments on the way you word your posts but I LOVE IT. It's always so interesting to read and I just keep reading. It's an awesome combo you have here...seriously great photos and writing like a genius! ;) Anyways, sorry you had the bug, I HATE IT. But I was also deathly ill on Christmas Eve and Christmas with fever, chills, congestion...etc so you weren't alone! Anyways, have a GREAT New Year!

Love the little Coke bottle! My stepson got one in his Xmas stocking from his grandmother, but he drank it and tossed it, and before I knew it, it was gone. I have never seen a Mighty Bean - interesting. I'm sure you could have thought of it, had you thought of it. Hope you ride out the rest of the holiday season in good health, and have a lovely New Year!

I had to laugh because I see other peoples' pictures and want to recreate them too! They're just so goregeous. I love that shot of your daughter through the dollhouse window. I just started up a link party for Ten on Tuesdays at my blog, would love for you to stop over some time!

Oh, Karli, I so love your 10 on Tuesday posts!

Sorry to hear that you were not feeling well over Christmas, but hope you've recovered now.

We have a similar dollhouse (Caring Corners Mrs. Goodbee's dollhouse) that Z loves and that J plays with sometimes, too. :)

Have a wonderful, wonderful new year!! I'm looking forward to getting more inspiration from your photos. =)

These are some cute memories - even if you were sick (sorry - hope you're feeling better now!) And who cares if they aren't "tech perfect"! :) I think they're great!

Love the soda bottles - we had some sprite bottles running around my in-laws that I never got around to doing anything with - didn't think about the photo op until I saw yours! :)
