party of three: 2/52

Whew! I barely squeaked in with my Party of Three pictures this week. I procrastinated until this morning, the Tiny Tornado was not feeling 100%, I was experimenting with off-camera flash, the boys only had two days of school this week (and were a bit nutty), and right before we began taking pictures, the Tornado tripped up the stairs and bit her tongue (or lip)...I don't think we ever figured it out. We began the pictures with red eyes, a runny nose, a blotchy face and an injury to an unidentified part of the oral cavity. Not the best combo.

So here's my shot for week two:

No seriously, that's the picture.

If only you could be a fly on the wall at our house. With Collin and Drew both in karate, guess who insists on having her own belt. So we have a red belt, and green belt and a snake belt.

And now for some outtakes:
(Trust me, we tried to remove the sippy cup but decided it just wasn't worth it. And it's doing a great job of hiding the face issues mentioned above.

A certain member of our family doesn't like headless artsy shots. Until a certain grandpa can properly expose and get three kids with varying heights in focus and who can move faster than any shutter speed known to my camera, then I will invite him to enjoy what we have here. (Hi dad!) :-)

Notice Drew in the green belt. Growth spurt, anyone?
(It's a little known fact that capri-wearing ninjas are fierce).

I think they're discussing whether or not to mutiny. Livia was very much over the pictures at this point.

To prevent the Tornado from completely falling apart, here she is being soothed by a game of Ring Around the Rosy.

For the record, I didn't suggest this idea; the boys did. That's how awesome they are. ♥

I LOVE your pictures this week. That snake belt is too funny! Sorry to hear about Livia's "oral injury". Hope she feels better soon.

Loving your pics this week.. Awesome.I think they capture all that is fun about your week.... Spent all day at the world's longest birthday party for a 6 year old, ( or maybe it was 7) .. I am numb and needing to get my photos done...

That snake belt is too adorable! And of course she needs a belt, since the boys have belts! :D

She's too cute. Hope her injury wasn't too bad! Deklan cut his chin Christmas Day, and it bothered him for quite a few days. He didn't want anyone to touch it, or even look at it, either!

Great work! I love the idea of the weekly photos of the kids together. I may try to start something like this too! Thanks for the inspiration :)

Oh come on! I love the artsy headless shots. (This is obvious as I have a lot of those.) Love that first one. My fav is the mutiny one where the boys have their arms around TT.

So proud of you. Wonderful job. Two for two! :-)

I keep thinking I cannot love your kids any more than I already do and then POOF! I love them even more.

You know you have to enlarge, frame, & hang the first shot right? Okay then.

Your boys are awesome and such good brothers. I personally love a good snake belt and the one of her butt...that makes me giggle. You're right - taking a picture with everyone in focus is much more difficult than anyone would imagine. Love it.

I love that you have been capturing so many pictures of your kiddos and something about seeing siblings all together makes me smile...someday my Daisy bean will have siblings and I look forward to watching them interact. Livia has her brothers wrapped around her finger doesn't she!

I don't even know what to say, these are SO cute! I can't stand it. Your boys are so sweet. I was out of town last week so just got to your posts. I hope you never feel obligated to come comment on my site. I comment on yours because I love your posts and not because I want a return visit. You are the sweetest! xo

Love all these! And yeah, sometimes the heads may get cut off, but you can still see a story! And when you put all 52 shots together at the end of the year, you may really like having those couple of "odd" ones!

And I so love your comments on these!

Hope TT is ok now! :)

KARLI! That first shot is sweet and gave me a much needed giggle...from the 'snake' belt to the fact Drew's leg was lifted THAT high, I don't even think I could pick mine up that high (and keep balance) LOL! And you sure have some sweet kids...the big brothers are always saving tiny tornado! I LOVE IT!
