to those who serve

To the mother that held her son for the last time,

to the mother whose son was returned to her, broken.

To the daughter who will grow up without her father,

to the young man whose mind was marred by the tragedy of war.

To the father that missed the first year of his baby's life,

to the grandfather shattered with grief.

To the sister whose brother paid the ultimate price for his country,

to the men and women that give selflessly,

Thank you.

Beautiful, as always, Karli. Such perfect exposure to get such gorgeous color in the flag, especially backlit like that.

(And somebody shut the front door. Mark III, girl?)

Girl... you motivate me to try new things. How do you come up with these ideas? I think the heat {and no a/c} has fried my brain lately.

These are fantastic! I need a smaller flag. lol. I tried this and was not half as successful. Bravo. And props to the little guy for being so willing. :)

Oh, my.

1. I'm crying tears. What an insanely beautiful tribute!!! Our military/law enforcement personnel hold a special place in my heart for what they're willing to do for us - and this is so my heart too! yes, THANK YOU!!!

2. Oh my word! Did you read my mind??? I saw some cool pics of kids holding flags and wondered if I could get one of my nieces/nephews to help me out (didn't happen. bummer!) But I'll just enjoy yours instead!!!

3. GASP! You changed your slideshow header!!! (I'm prob way behind times and that's old news now!) Love it!! Although I had to giggle -- the bonnie five sure seems to mostly be the bonnie one. LOL!!! Maybe it's cause TT is just way too cute!!!

4. So you left a comment on Jill's blog where N was sad cause her siblings were stealing the show, and how TT had a similar reaction -- um, share, please??? LOL!!!

5. These images are exposed/composed so beautifully!!! I'm melting at the light, the color, the emotions..... Seriously, can I grow up to be you, please??? LOL!

6. Miss you!!

xoxo
