her middle name, and embracing the rebel

You guys certainly know how to put a huge smile on my face! Thanks so much for your sweet comments (and emails...because my comment box wasn't working for awhile yesterday). Thank you to those that let me know it wasn't working, and to Skye who helped me fix it! :-)

I got a few guesses by email yesterday about Livia's middle name. Sheri, you guessed it!! Livia's middle name is Soleil. (pronounced so-LAY) Doron used to call me Sunshine, and Soleil means "sun" in French. Clever, aren't we? :-)

Come to find out, Collin (my oldest) thought her name was spelled S-O-L-A (how's that for a phonetic spelling!?)...and he thought it was Spanish! LOL! Drew (my Kindergartner) knew the correct way to spell it. (Figures).

I'm really missing my camera which is off for repair, so I got out the Rebel and gave it a whirl. I thought I'd honor TT's request to "walk in-a water with-a green rainboots" ... so off we went.

I like it! :-)

Canon Rebel XSI
AV mode
Aperture: f/2.8 + 1 stop overexposed
Shutter speed: 1/640
ISO: 200

Happy Wednesday! :-)

This picture is evidence that it's not the camera but the photographer - beautiful shot my friend!

Oh my. I have loved that for a name for as long as I can remember since my momma and pops are both French Canadians.

This picture is awesome! I am looking into the Rebel XSi as a starter camera, and I was wondering if you used the basic 18-55 mm lens or a more advanced one of your own. Thanks!

Amen Ashley - this is proof it doesn't matter the equipment. You rocked this sweet shot of your beautiful SUNSHINE girl splashing in her ever so cute green boots!

Hugs and love!

Great pictures ... great names. Great blog!

I've used another of your pictures for an article entitled "Systemic Anxiety." It is about how leaders, even parents, respond to anxiety-producing events. It is the first of what will be several articles on this over the next couple of months.

Here is the address: http://warrenbaldwin.blogspot.com/2011/06/systemic-anxiety.html

Very pretty (and clever) name for little miss TT. :)

And really??? Wow, look at you rocking the rebel! Exactly what was said earlier: it's the PHOTOGRAPHER and not the equipment that makes/breaks the shot! WOW WOW WOW! Love it! The light, the perspective/angle, the actions! All that beautiful faerie dust/water bokeh! Love it!!

Did I mention I love this shot?

hehe
love and hugs,
Michelle

Thank you so much guys!! ♥♥

This comment is for Celine; I'm so sorry ... I tried to email you back but it wouldn't give me your address. For this picture, I used the 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens. That was a very good question, and I should have specified. Hope that helps! :-)

What a beautiful shot! Taylor used to wear rain boots all the time! Sometimes I'd have to wait for him to fall asleep and then take them off of him.

I love Livia's middle name! Yes, you two are clever! ;o) So you said he 'use' to call you Sunshine. Is this no longer true?

When do you get your camera back??
I think you should keep on shooting with your Rebel, the pictures are fabulous as always!
